Start with samples, not containers

Order a sample of each shortlisted model before committing to volume. A single unit reveals build quality, color consistency and packing condition in a way a spec sheet cannot.

Confirm the specification in writing

Copy the specification table from each product page into your own purchase order document; both sides should sign off on the same text.

• Light source and total power draw, so your venue power and dimming plans are correct.
• Input voltage and plug type for your market — most export models cover UK / AU / EU / US plugs.
• Control: DMX channel modes and protocols, plus any on-device fallback modes.
• Housing and IP rating for the environments you actually install in.

Certification and compliance

For EU and US buyers, CE and RoHS are the baseline documents to request from the factory. Laser products carry additional safety classification requirements — confirm them before quoting your own customers.

Ask which documents ship with the goods and which are available on request; a factory that answers this instantly is a factory that ships to your market regularly.

Lead time, terms and after-sales

Standard lead time on current models is 15–30 days depending on model and quantity; every unit should pass an aging test before packing — ask for the QC record.

Agree trade terms (EXW, FOB or CIF), payment schedule and warranty in the same written quotation. One year of warranty with spare-parts support should be the floor for professional fixtures.
